“Faith Over Fear” Bible Study begins July 12 led by Lori Chisholm

Our church continues its efforts to monitor the spread of the COVID-19 virus and respond accordingly with our Re-Gathering guidelines. Both the 8:30 am contemporary service in the Family Life Center as well as the 10:40 am traditional service in the Sanctuary are being offered. It has been wonderful being together for worship; some are choosing to gather on campus while others do so via Facebook or YouTube media platforms.

After several conversations with our teachers, our church staff believes that it is best to wait a while longer before resuming on campus small group Sunday School classes. Instead, we are offering one large group class on Sundays at 9:30 am in the Family Life Center. This should allow additional fellowship time while ensuring social and physical distancing measures.

The three session Bible Study will begin on July 12 and be led by Lori Chisholm. The theme will be “Faith over Fear”–a timely topic for these days for sure.  This is going to be a great time together so I encourage you to be part of it! Children are welcome to attend and will be provided activity bags as they sit with their families.

On a final note, the Governor has extended the state of emergency through the end of August. This action has implications for school activities and businesses, but does not seem to place additional restrictions on churches at this time. As you know, local schools are releasing their back to school plans and how best to welcome students, faculty, and staff back to their campuses. Similarly, our Church Council will be meeting later this month to discuss how best for our church to proceed into the Fall.

Thanks for your ongoing prayers, involvement, and financial support. God is faithful–let’s trust Him as we desire to live by faith “and not by sight.”–DC
