07 Jul Faithfulness and Fun with our Senior Adults
We have so many things to be grateful for at First Baptist Church and one of those blessings is our LifeGroup teachers. These men and women spend countless hours preparing for the lessons that are taught each Sunday morning to our children, youth, and adults.
We have teachers who are part of a group that rotates teaching responsibilities, and we have some individuals who teach each Sunday. Whatever their schedules to lead a group in Bible Study, these individuals give faithfully of their time and efforts to serve God and the people in this church.
One individual who has served faithfully as a LifeGroup teacher is Sue Boggs. She has prepared lessons, cared for the class members, and taught the women’s Koinonia Class for over 35 years. After approximately 1,800 Sundays of teaching and leading this class, she has decided to retire from this position.
Her dedication and leadership will be missed, but the impact she has had on this class will forever be remembered and appreciated. When you see Sue, please join with me in thanking her for a job well done.
The Encore trip to Alaska was wonderful! We saw God’s beautiful handiwork in so many ways, enjoyed exciting excursions, ate great food, and experienced some wonderful fellowship with Christian friends. We have many stories to tell – and some stories we probably should not
repeat!!
We have hundreds of photographs taken by all 30 of us and some of those pictures are being complied into a slide show to be shared with our church soon. I am so thankful for friends who enjoy spending time together and sharing a very special experience together–Vicki
