Jason Taylor, Youth Director
Jason and Amanda Taylor hail from Worland, WY but are Jefferson City, TN natives. The couple married on July 7, 2007 at First Baptist Church of Jefferson City, and both have backgrounds in ministry. Jason previously served as a youth minister at two churches. He has extensive experience in counseling troubled teens. He has worked as a therapeutic wilderness master counselor in the mountains of east Tennessee, North Carolina, and as a direct care youth counselor in Knoxville, Tenn. Jason’s hobbies include the outdoors, playing guitar, singing and woodturning. Amanda has a lot of experience in local missions, as well as serving on the mission field in several countries overseas. Her passions include music, missions, writing and choreographing drama and dance, being outdoors, her family, and various creative endeavors. Jason earned a bachelor's degree in religion from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tenn. Amanda is also a graduate of Carson-Newman College with a double bachelor degree in religion and cross cultural sociology as well as a minor in music and later became a licensed EMT.
